JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 a) Who to start as swing man (WR or RB) - Reggie Bush (vs Philly at home) or Amani Toomer (at Atlanta)? 2) My QB (Tom Brady) is on a bye. I picked up Philip Rivers (at San Fran). Other available QBs are: David Carr (@ Dallas) Jake Plummer (home vs Oakland on Sunday night) Steve McNair (home vs Carolina) JP Losman (@ Detroit) Matt Leinart (home vs Chicago on Monday night) B Gradkowski (home vs Cinci) B Roethlisberger (home vs KC) Vince Young (@ Washington) Joey Harrington (@ Jets) I think I know the answer to each, but I'm interested in opinions... Of course, I am always thinking Bush, the good kind and the bad! Seriously, I think the Saints will try to figure out a way to get Bush involved, at home, against a very good defensive team. His amazing speed may be the best weapon the Saints have against the Eagles, and he would really get the crowd pumped, something significant in New Orleans. Sean Payton has seemingly let him get involved a little more each week. Beating the Eagles would be a serious statement for the Saints. They can only keep him in the backround for so long. Toomer would not be a bad play either (maybe a safer pick), but I could also see him getting shut down by Atlanta. For QB, you have a few decent possibitlites, but I would go with Rivers. Quote

stinky finger Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Rivers, Plummer, Losman, Harrington (Harrington ?) are all "good" plays, IMO. Bush should shine against an aggresive upfield defense. He should see lots of swing passes and screens. He's a good bet to take one the distance in this game. Quote
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 Rivers had an awesome day - 334 yds passing 2 yds rushing, 2 TDs no INTs. Reggie Bush went back to his old ways - 60 total yds with no TDs. Toomer was slightly worse tho. I think I got up to .500 today - my calculations have me ahead by about 14 pts going into tomorrow night's action. I have Bernard Berrian and he has Chicago's kicker. THANK YOU PHILIP RIVERS & CLINTON PORTIS! (And Pittsburgh D) Quote
