Cugalabanza
Wow, buffalo vs. bear. That's a tough one. Both are incredibly strong and can do a lot of damage. The tiebreaker, though, is gonna be those horns. Go Buffalo!

stuckincincy
My opinion is that an angry bull bison facing any bear head on, even a Kodiak, would flatten and trample same. They have huge bulk and near-instantaneous acceleration.
Mile High
Depends on what kind of a bear.
Rubes
I don't think a bear would even give it a try against a pissed off Bison.

5 Wide
ok, a fully grown Bison weighs 2000 pounds and can run 35 Mph Grizzly Bears typically weigh between 700 and 1200 pounds and can run 35 mph They are considered more dangerous than a Grizzly Bear in the wild I'd say the Bison charging a bear would incapacitate it with a good rush, and also uses its hind legs as weapons (i was bored)

The "Buffalo Hunters" of history and legend didn't act alone, they used big, long-range guns of the era and hit 'em with a fusillade of lead. The native plains Indians used to bag the odd straggler and take use of a come-upon carcass, but had the common sense not to mess with the herds. Just like you and me, they preferred not to be stampeded to death. The natives would have been more than happy to wipe them out and eat them and use the by-products if they could.
