The law governing licenses, and most property issues, is largely common law dating back to old (i.e. 1500's) English case law.

There are examples where the common law is codified and changed or adjusted. For example, ask your friend about the "fertile octegenarian" realating to the rule agains perpetuities. It is absurd and has been changed in most states (but not all).

Most tickets have a disclaimer on the back saying that they can ask you to leave at any time for any reason(s), but I could have sworn that they were obligated to refund the ticket price.

Here's what the back of one of my season tickets say.....

This ticket only grants entry into the stadium and a spectator seat for the specified NFL games. This ticket is a revocable license. The violation of any of the terms and conditions will automatically terminate this license. The Buffalo Bills reserve the right without refunding the face price of the ticket and applicable fees to revoke the license, the refuse admission, or eject any person who's conduct is deemed to be disorderly, who uses abusive language, fails to comply with these terms or any and all security measures. You and your belongs may be searched upon entry into the stadium, and prohibited items may be confiscated. By tendering this ticket and entering the stadium, you consent to such searches and waive any related claims that you might have against the NFL, its member clubs, its affiliates, or its agents. If you elect not to consent to these searches, you will be denied entry into the stadium. Cans, bottles and noisemakers are prohibited. Reentry into the stadium is prohibited. Tickets holders who hold a wheelchair-designated ticket must be physically challenged and using a wheelchair or be a designated companion.

The ticket holder assumes all risks incidental to the game or related events, including the risks of lost, stolen, or damaged property or personal injury and ticket holder hereby releases The Bills, the participating clubs, the National Football League, County Of Erie and their respective agents and employees for any liabilty therefore. The date and time of the game is subject to change by the NFL in accordance with its scheduling policies or as a result of other actions or events beyond the NFL's control. No refund will be provided if ticket holder can not attend.

And if you want to get specific, just writing about certain plays here or anyplace online can get you in trouble.

Of course. You haven't struck a business deal to take images from an NFL game, and unauthorized resale of tix is a longstanding crime.

All I want is my money back.

Do they know about your parking operation? I read that you said you were late because you were tending to an employee who was ill...Did you let the Bills know this was the reason too? I wonder if they would be hesitant to give you your money back by alluding to the fact that you MAKE money off of their games. That would be crummy, but who knows what they'd stoop to.

I have been in contact with the ticket office and will be dropping off a letter.

Yes they know about Hammer's Lot

Yes the gate personal know the reason why I wanted entry at the 4Qt which

should not matter.

I don't think it matters if I make money off them, they make money off me!

I pay property taxes to the town of Orchard Park do the Bills (est. cost to town

of Orchard Park per year $25,000 for Police) and I also pay for a parking permit.

By the why certain town officials get into the Bills game for free just by showing their I.D. More to come about that in the future.

Ralph is going to adopt you so he can pass the team onto you when he leaves?

Dont feel bad, same thing happened to me at the Chargers/Steelers game on Sunday night. They said my ticket had already been scanned. My buddy who paid for the tix and was sitting next to me got in. I went to the Customer Service office and one woman who worked there told me to leave, yes I had been drinking but i wasnt out of control. All I asked was to speak to someone about it and she threated to call the police. the sh------- thing is I couldnt call my buddy who was already inside because my cell phone died and I didnt have a charger with me, and in this day and age I dont memorize actual phone numbers anymore.
