What confusing statistics! On one hand, Moorman is among league leaders in punts downed inside the 20 (which is a huge stat). On the other hand, his gross avg. (40.6) is last in the AFC and not even in the top 30 among NFL kickers. His net avg. (37.8) is also one of the lowest and opposing teams are averaging double digit numbers (11.2) on punt returns. Although Moorman did have that one awesome game this year, do you think he is struggling a little or is it just the bad weather conditions combined with the small 4 game window of stats? I still think he is the best punter in the AFC but he has some competition for his All-Pro Spot this year.

Your question pretty much answers itself.

It's a sign that the Bills are actually moving the ball before they have to punt. A ton of punts between the 40's == much shorter field to work with as a punter. Touchbacks take 20 yards off your net. Yesterday seemed to hurt too...both punters had problems with the wind.

He had the one great game where he was pinning them deep, but other than that I think he's been quite mediocre this season which is surprising. I'm sure he'll pick it up again though.
