MadBuffaloDisease Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Tough test for Preston. I know people will complain when they see Harris blow him up a few times this week. But, everyone should remember, that if CV was playing, it would be the same result. Exactly. And in fact, I think that CV would have a harder time with Harris than Duke will. That's not saying Duke will come close to shutting down Harris.
Pirate Angel Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Besides one play he got blown up on he actually played pretty well
JStranger76 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Make no mistake, the next FEW games will be a very stiff test as all are tough vs. the run teams......
CosmicBills Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Let's not forget that Duke got a lot of pre-season reps with the first unit OL this year. The coaches knew CV was an injury waiting to happen, so they prepared Duke well. I don't anticipate much of a drop off in continuity among the OL because of the this -- and that, almost more than anything, is often the most damaging ripple effect when a starter on the OL goes down. Peters & Fowler got plenty of reps with Duke between them in live action. The transition should be smooth.
