5ths the charm Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 This mistake wasn't kicking the field goal. It was passing on 3rd down and stopping the clock. 791317 Exactly
darkman Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 reality check - the bills are winning in a game everyone expects them to lose. 791318 Winning by 1 point mind you, but this game looks evenly balanced. At least no domination by Vikes or Buff at this point.
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 I think that's kind of a stretch... 791320 I hope you mean the "expected them to lose" part, and not "winning" part.
Dibs Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 reality check - the bills are winning in a game everyone expects them to lose. 791318 I don't expect them to lose though.
Fan in San Diego Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Whatz up witn Yobouty ? Will he get a start anytime soon ?
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Watching the Dallas highlights...Bledsoe's not patting the ball. He is hopping around like he's trying to hold back explosive diarrhea...but he's not patting the ball.
MDH Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 791322 Not sure ewhy you're slapping your head at that. 3rd and 1 at the 20. You run the ball and try to pick up the first down. If you don't get it you kick the FG with very little time left. If you get it you line up and spike the ball (saving your last TO). In a defensive battle this would have been a better way of managing the game.
loadofmularkey Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 I hope you mean the "expected them to lose" part, and not "winning" part. 791327 Obviously. I know I wasn't chalking this up as an automatic loss for the Bills. Minnesota isn't perfect by any means, and it is at home. Mortensen, Jaws and Salisbury all picked Buffalo.
Frez Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 We need to pressure the QB..................something we haven't done in 2 weeks!

Max997 Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 44 yarder is no chip shot. 791312 no its not but it was a bad miss that gave the Vikes good field position that theu turned into a 49 yard FG

I can think of at least one former poster (ICE) that would be complaining that the Bills weren't winning because they weren't winning by enough...
MadBuffaloDisease Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Not sure ewhy you're slapping your head at that. Because I agree with the complaints.
Dibs Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 I'll only listen to someone complain about that play call if they were bitching about it before the pass was thrown. 791335 Hell....I was bitching about it last week. People say WM can't get 3rd & short but he hasn't been given the chance.
gallagher Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 I'll only listen to someone complain about that play call if they were bitching about it before the pass was thrown. 791335 Does saying "They better not even be thinking about passing." before the play count?
slothrop Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 And Losman has only thrown for one first down so far...all the others were runs after the catch, which don't count according to Holcomb's Arm... 791283 Montana must have been the worst QB ever under Holcomb's Arm's logic.
Dibs Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 What's the game plan for the second half? 791342 More of the same but a bit better.....& a turnover or four.
Frez Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Hell....I was bitching about it last week.People say WM can't get 3rd & short but he hasn't been given the chance. 791340 You have to be on the field in order to get the chance, not on the sidelines with a hangnail or gasping for air.
CFLstyle Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 I'm not happy with some of the playcalling. On more than one occasion this game we have thrown the football on third and short, we have to run the ball on third and short there's so many options we could sneak it, give it to Shelton, or give it to McGahee, why do we throw it every time on third and short?
