inkman Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 You know Ink. You are a wise man. 793517 The way these are written, I think it says I am wise in the ways of pens.
Buftex Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 The Bills are 2 and 2. The beat a solid Miami team with a powerful offense and they beats Vikes who showed no ill effects from the physical pounding the Bears laid on them. And they held there own against the Pats and Jets which never happens. 793517 It seems you are the one with the lowered standards...Miami has been anything but "solid, with a powerful offense"....if those are your standards, why not give the Bills (you are a Bills fan, I think) the same benefit of a doubt that you give other teams....and extend it to JP, like you have for Brees...you don't support your strong opinions very solidly, or powerfully...

todd Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 What has happened here is that you've been backed into a corner with your (incorrect) opinion, and you are trying to justify it. Poorly. It's a much more satisfying feeling to admit you are wrong instead of trying to argue a point that is completely wrong. You might want to reverse your path before you sound like more of an idiot. You know Ink. You are a wise man. I guess I still see this team a team that just missed the playoffs two years ago. Unlike everyone else who seems to think the Bills are coming off five straight 2-14 seasons. I guess I should just be happy that the Vikes laid down for the Bills. They gave the Bills one TD by jumping offsides and another by stopping before a busted play was over. The Bills are 2 and 2. The beat a solid Miami team with a powerful offense and they beats Vikes who showed no ill effects from the physical pounding the Bears laid on them. And they held there own against the Pats and Jets which never happens. I'm sure the Bills third down problems will have nothing to do with the outcome of the Bears game. The Bears defense is horrible on third downs. Teams are completing almost 22% on them. 793517
MadBuffaloDisease Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 And if JP throws a 3 yard pass on 3rd and 13 his rating goes up. If he completes a pass for -4 yards on 3rd and 10 his rating goes up. Uh, not exactly. You see yards per attempt is part of the QB rating formula. So while his rating goes up for a completion, it goes down for lowering his YPA. http://www.supernfl.com/QBRating.html That was way too easy Not really.
John from Riverside Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 You think it might have to do with Rivers being a really talented QB? Just because you have a quality QB it doesn't mean you pass on a great talent. And let's not forget that the Bills would have picked Rivers if he fell. They setteled for Losman. Speaking of nice trys. It was a nice atttempt to distract from the point I made. Rivers vs Brees has nothing to do with Losman. Except that the Chargers ended up with two really good QB's and the Bills have none. Which briings up another point. How can the Chargers draft two quality NFL strating QB's in span of 3 years and the Bills have come up empty the past 23 years. 790899 This makes no sense.... - You do NOT draft a QB that high when you have a YOUNG talented QB on the roster......no team can afford to do that regardless of talent level. The reason why you would do that is if you dont think things are going to work out with Brees....and ANYONE can see that I dont understand why you are arguing that point. If you have a young talented QB (or if the front office at least thinks it does) then you go impact player or O Linemen to PROTECT your young talented QB..... - HITF do you know they would have taken Rivers and not Lee Evans....who was very high on their draft board? Were you in the war room? - I will give you that the bills have not drafted well in this area since Jim Kelly.....BUT we still dont know what we have in JPL yet.....and he is turning critics into beleivers with each passing week. He looked pretty good against the Vikes who have a good defense.

No matter though!
