My Thoughts

really... jp was both a bright and dark spot on that game. 325 and 2td... great. i mean, when was the last time we had 300 passing yards in a game and had over 400 in total offense? i was psyched and i am a huge losman supporter.

the darkness, those two fumbles and a HORRIBLE int cost us the game. i have no idea why he threw that ball into blatant double coverage (and it was a horrible pass). the fumbles really cost us (albeit, I am blaming that one on mcgahee).

he is holding onto the ball and not using one of the best aspects of his game... RUN. SCRAMBLE. DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN JUST STAND THERE AND GET HIT. yesterday i hoped he learned that he doesnt have all the time in the world because our line just isnt that good (much better than last year, still not great).

we have gotta do something with our short yardage package. put in the atrain if need be, because if willis cant get one freakin yard in that situation... at least let the atrain try.

the defense played average, but we've gotta win the turnover battle.

overall.... i am still happy with this team, although we got beat by an inferior jets team in our home opener. that hurts. it kills me how after the game everyone i went with was calling for jp's head. its his what... 11th nfl start? give the kid a break. the growing pains are gonna happen, and unfortunately he didnt play all of last year so we still gotta go through them.

WE DO NOT HAVE THE LINE IN FRONT OF HIM OR THE TEAM AROUND HIM FOR JP TO COME IN AND LOOK LIKE AN ALLSTAR WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE LEARNING PROCESS. we have a lot of young talent on this team and we certainly look a TON better than last year. be happy with that and look forward to a bright future.

Eschewing field goals won't do a lot towards a bright future...

Again, the 2nd fumble was on Willis and the INT was because he got hit as he was throwing and he also couldn't step-into the throw because of pressure in his face. Randy Cross, who usually goes OUT of his way to bash the Bills (and who was the opposite for most of the game surprisingly), said as much. The wind did the rest.
