Bill from NYC
1) If you have anybody in life that you don't particularly care for, give them Jabbari Greer for Christmas. I am scratching my head trying to figure out how we drafted 20 defensive backs this year, and this guy is on the team. 2) I wish that I could come up with something original to say about just how good London Fletcher is. Crowell is getting better too. 3) I am not sure why, but that little pass to Royal was my favorite one that JP threw all day. OK, I remember....he hit him in stride, didn't throw it 90 miles an hour, and the defense seemed to be caught off guard. We don't use the TE enough. 4) We were well matched against the jests. Our veteran DL (with big numbers) against their poor little draftee blockers. Our speedy wideouts against their sub-par seecondary. Instead, we got beat at home, in the wind, by a weak armed qb. Ouch. 5) It is official. Tim Anderson does not belong in the NFL. 6) It seems that many of you were pleased in some way by the performance of JP. That's great, but please exclude me from that list. I hope that he turns into a quarterback that his team can count on. 7) Attention NFL Teams.....get your scrap heaps clean and ready! We are going to need a Left Tackle, Right Guard, and who knows what else? Yes, MaGahee ran well yesterday, but run blocking is the easy part. There was pressure from the left side, up the middle, or both on a majority of passing plays. I forgot to mention.....blindside pressure and the middle collapsing are bad things. 8) JP looked pretty angry on the sidelines after the sack/fumble. I knew there was something about him I liked! Here's to the hope that he doesn't get used to being tossed around. 9) Next week we match up poorly vs. the Vikes. We will probably kill them. 10) GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MadBuffaloDisease
We know you don't like JP Bill, but he was actually one of the few bright spots. After thinking about the game overnight, sure the first fumble is on him, but the 2nd is on Willis and the INT was a result of getting hit and not being able to step into his throw. And yes he might have thrown a few too hard. You DO realize that there were 35 MPH winds, right? But this would have been a different game had Price caught that sure-TD early in the game, or if Willis makes that block like he SHOULD have done. And you yourself have said that the Bills need a better O-line. So which is it?
makbeer
JP doesn't get a free pass because of a couple of missed plays by others. Don't you get sick of watching him stare down his #1 WR until he gets sacked, fumbles, or rolls out and throws it away? I was screaming at the TV for him to check down, he doesn't seem to understand the concept and it frustrates the hell out of me.
Bill from NYC
And you yourself have said that the Bills need a better O-line. So which is it? 785432[/snapback] That sir, is a fair question. I want JP to calm down. The biggest supporter of JP on this board (imo) is KTFBD, and even he calls him "jittery." The overhead missles and the ground balls have to stop. These are drive killers MBD. Stats and "cannons" mean little to me (btw, I don't think that JP has a "cannon" in the old fashioned sense. His arm imo is most impressive mid-range, and yes, very impressive). I defended JP for the last 2 weeks against those who pointed toward his bad stats. I would be happier with JP if it was easier for me to see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. I also readily admit that perhaps I could use more patience wrt this kid. As for the OL, it is what it is.....a rag tag assembly of castoffs, with one ray of hope in Peters. He was likened recently to Erik Williams, the best RT ever, in terms of potential. That is something special, believe me. It is a matter of football philosophy I suppose. Lee Evans was the 13th pick of the 2004 draft. Is/was he worth it? I suppose, BUT.....if a qb is getting crushed behind a poor OL, he will not produce. If a strong line gives a qb time, he will find an open receiver more often than not. In summary, I guess it is both. I am not calling for JP to be benched. I am hoping that he will settle down and win football games for the Buffalo Bills. When your QB gets you 325+ and 2 TDs, you should win.

Like any line they have had their breakdowns but overall they have done a pretty good job. What we have shown is that we can run the ball and we can hit the big play. We need to continue to open it up but we need to get the TE's and backs more involved in the passing game as well as more short routes to the WR's. Once we become more efficent in that department we will be much better off.

Any other team would have won that game running away. Only ONE turnover cost the bills points yesterday. The defense shat the bed plain and simple. No pressure, no turnovers and POOR tackling all roudn.
