rolly Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Just got back from the game. I have my own opinions of why the bills lost but what do you think? The bills, overall played well enough to win but made timely mistakes. Let's hear it.
Mark Vader Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Fake FG/shovel pass to Peters. Driving into Jets territory 3 or 4 times in the 1st half and coming away with just 3 points. Generating very little pressure on Pennington. Not challenging the defensive TD of the Jets. Not putting Anthony Thomas in when the Bills had 2nd & Goal on the 2.
rolly Posted September 24, 2006 Author Posted September 24, 2006 Honestly, this sounds simple but overall I think the Bills' biggest problem is their inability to finish, on both defense and offense.

We must improve in this area.
2003Contenders Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 We've heard all about the turnovers ad naseum. How about a couple of other things: 1. Red zone inefficiency on both offense and defense. Jets go 3 for 3. Bills go 1 for 3. 2. Peerless had some nice grabs -- but also some costly mistakes. The bomb that went through his fingers as well as the offensive interference call.
YOOOOOO Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 2. Peerless had some nice grabs -- but also some costly mistakes. Fixxxer Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Forgotten play right there....he makes tht catch Bills win...that was a perfect pass... 784900 That pass was sweet. The jet defender slapped Price's arm as the ball hit his hands. That was a tough catch to make.

RuntheDamnBall Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Simply put Rolly...and very true. And the O part of the blame has to fall on Losman. 784914 Because Losman was not directly responsible for two TDs today and it was obviously his decision to run a fake punt? Your sentence needs to read: Part of the O blame has to fall on Losman. These guys lost as a team today. A missed WM block hurt. A bad penalty and a miss on a perfect throw by Peerless hurt. A lack of intensity from the running game in the tough situations hurt. JP took his lumps, but he was also the reason they were in it at the end. Prove otherwise, please.
Fixxxer Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Simply put Rolly...and very true. And the O part of the blame has to fall on Losman. 784914 Only a Sith deals in absolutes.
KD in CA Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Peerless had some nice grabs -- but also some costly mistakes. The bomb that went through his fingers as well as the offensive interference call. 784895 I disagree with that assessment...it was off his outstretched fingertips but in no way should be construed as a drop.
