5 Wide
On his role in the nickel situations Mostly the short yardage situations, when they bring in their jumbo or heavier packages with an extra tight end, it’s a way for us to get a bigger guy on the field and try to match up better with what they’re going to try to do, which most of the time will be to run the ball and attack us on the ground. It’s just putting personnel out there that suits up with what they have out there. I worked really hard this offseason. I don’t have a coaching staff telling me to lose weight anymore. I’m back to what I feel my playing weight is. I’m just fortunate to be able to contribute. It's ironic that players seem to take little jabs at the former regime when they get the chance. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's another example of exactly how messed up last year was.
