HopsGuy Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 My 7 year old Nissan Sentra has, get this, <55k on it. It rides like a dream, though it has no pick up. I'll drive it for 3 more years and it will still probably be around 80k. That's when I start making breakfast on the hood.
Taro T Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I only live about 5 miles from where i work. 774474 Heck, I drive more than 5 miles just to get lunch. Don't you ever go on vacation or bar hopping?
Shamrock Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Call the county. They have something that removes the paint that blasts your car when you run redlights. Pretty sure that same stuff will work. 774424 If there's a breakdown in the middle of the road do they get nailed by the paint gun? We had an elderly citizen driving on the road go through a red light- would they or say a cyclist get hit too. As for the legal use of an Emergency vehicle through the red-light...sure this isn't an urban legend. Just as someone noted, what is they're in a convertible or the paint obscures rear view vision...sounds funny, but dumb.
Chef Jim Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Thats f-d up!! What if you drive a convertible? Or, in my case, a Wrangler that I drive topless whenever possible? I guess you're just f-d. 774439 Hey can you let Lana drive your car topless? Just askin'
GoodBye Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 Heck, I drive more than 5 miles just to get lunch. Don't you ever go on vacation or bar hopping? 774488 Of course, I'm not a total loser.
GoodBye Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 Hey can you let Lana drive your car topless? Just askin' 774498 Only when it's warm and sunny outside!
eSJayDee Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 It's a 96 toyota corolla and still has it's original paint job. It's relatively certain that it is NOT lacquer then, although it could be urethane or just regular enamel. If you opt for using a solvent, I'd suggest trying it in a small, inconspicuous place 1st to assure it won't ruin your paint. Unless you've got a lot of paint, I'd probably opt for a rubbing/buffing compound rather than a solvent. On the plus side, it'll remove some of the oxidation from the paint & improve its overall appearance.

But i'm going to try washing it first like cincy suggested to see if that works. Thanks for your suggestion! I'll definitely try that if washing doesn't work.
Taro T Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Of course, I'm not a total loser. 774524 You say that, yet you post here. Something doesn't add up.
aussiew Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Only when it's warm and sunny outside! Damn girlfriend - you should move to Texas. You can drive topless a lot more often.
VABills Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Damn girlfriend - you should move to Texas. You can drive topless a lot more often. 774569 I thought you go to certain resorts for that.
HopsGuy Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I thought you go to certain resorts for that. 774571 She's looking for a wing -(wo)man. Aussie & Lana at Hedo III. Now there's a mental image that will get you a few extra Hail Mary's from the priest.
/dev/null Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Only when it's warm and sunny outside! 774525 pics?
Beerball Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 The other day I drove by one of those machines that paints the lines on the road. I got home later and realized that I have tons of tiny yellow spots of paint on my car. Does anyone know how to remove the yellow spots w/o damaging the finish on my car? Thanks! 774419 Keyrist, two pages and none of you mo-rons suggests paint remover.
EC-Bills Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 96, as in 1996? Damn it probably looks better now with a new paint job. Time to buy a new car. 774464 Why? If it still runs good and doesn't burn oil, why not keep it going. I have a 96 GrandPrix w/76K on it. Still runs good. No need to rush out and have a car payment.
EC-Bills Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 pics? 774592 Give in to him Lana and post some pics. Probably be one of the few times he will see a real woman topless
DC Tom Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 You say that, yet you post here. Something doesn't add up. 774545 She's only a partial loser then. Duh.
/dev/null Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Give in to him Lana and post some pics. Probably be one of the few times he will see a real woman topless 774611 I'd venture a guess and say i've seen more real women topless in the last month than you have since you got married
GoodBye Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 Damn girlfriend - you should move to Texas. You can drive topless a lot more often. 774569 You know, I'd love it if our summers would last just a tad bit longer. Two months is not long enough.
GoodBye Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 Keyrist, two pages and none of you mo-rons suggests paint remover. 774603 You are surprised by that? I figured probably 2% of the posts would be helpful. So far it's looking that way.
