SDS Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Kelly Roberts, aka Thailog80, committed suicide after allegedly beating his wife to death the day after his 38th birthday. Thankfully, his 3 children are alive and in the custody of Kelly's parents. News Link I figured we should just get this out there now, as there is no way to avoid it. As this situation is bound to stir up some extreme emotions, I ask that you give some thought to your words before you post them.

IBTG81 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I'm speechless. 774253 Me too. Kelly and I have had our problems. Never did I imagine he could do something like this.
RuntheDamnBall Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 That's terrible, tragic news. My thoughts are with his children, and family. This is a situation that's going to need a lot of healing and prayers.
Dan Gross Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 He left three kids, the youngest being 6 months old. Shocking.
SDS Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 He left three kids, the youngest being 6 months old. Shocking. 774275 I apologize for the confusion. Yes, he has 2 older children, one in 7th grade and the other is 7 years old. I assume they went to school while the little one was at home.
Corp000085 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 holy smokes. That's some terrible news. I pray for his children and the rest of his family.
5 Wide Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 It is a tragedy through and through. I pray that his wife rests in peace, that the families left behind can regroup, and that the children may find enough love around them to pull through this.

theesir Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Scott, I thought this was some SICK!, SICK! joke at first. Kelly and I often chatted about our cars (both have vettes) although we never met as he could not make the tailgate last year... I saw his birthday thread and actually didn't post in it for some reason... I'm sick to my stomach right now.
Catholic Guilt Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 sad sad sad And we worry about JP losman and pety football stuff when three kids in Vermont will grow up without Parents. Life in perspective.
