Carolina BBQ is entirely different from what you'd get at the Dinosaur, which is Kansas City-style more than anything.  Carolinians (?) prefer a mustard/vinegar mix.  The Dinosaur's stuff is very sweet compared to what you find in the Deep South.  Memphis is big into spicy rubs with a lot of apple juice sprayed on during cooking.

I love 'em all, but I'm easy.

My colleague from NC enjoyed the Dino. He even bought a couple bottles of the garlic chipotle sauce.

However, you can't compare it to Rendezvous. They're two different beasts altogether. Dino specializes in sauce based barbeque. Rendezvous is all about the dry rub. Those were the best dry rubbed ribs I ever had.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Crossroads Tavern.

I went last week.

Wings were good size and were fairly crispy.

The hot could've been a little hotter.

I'd have to give them a 8 or 8.5.
