buffaloboyinATL Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Or they figured that in 3-4 weeks Ko would be a better option anyway and they're keepinp Vincent around to help teach Ko and Donte? Vincent didn't exactly have a great season last year either. 771772 The article attached to this thread claims that Vincent had a career high 102 tackles last year but as far as I can tell he only had 42 tackles. That's a pretty big discrepancy. Odd. Vincent went to the Pro Bowl five consecutive years from 2000-2004 as a cornerback. He's played in 199 NFL games in his career and entered the 2006 season as the NFL leader in interceptions among active players with 47. He tied for the team lead in interceptions in 2005 with four and set a career high with 102 tackles for Buffalo last season.

He's a demon in practice.
Dan III Posted September 13, 2006 Author Posted September 13, 2006 Actually - is Leonard unemployed? 771694 Bills sign Leonard... http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=4131
Dan Gross Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Coy Wire and a 5th to Pittsburgh for Polamalu 771796 A 5th of what? Jack Daniels?
buffaloboyinATL Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Bills sign Leonard... http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=4131 771804 Wow that was fast. Saw that one coming.
stevewin Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Bills sign Leonard... http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=4131 771804 Just saw that too. I really hope when Bowen gets healed they cast off Wire and let Leonhard stick. BTW - is Bowen's injusry still considered a 'bone bruise'? Thought I saw someone throw out 'high ankle sprain' recently - that would be worse IMO (although it sure is taking a hell of a long time for this bone bruise to heal!)
5 Wide Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Bills sign Leonard... http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=4131 771804 Good..I always like Leonhard. Good scrappy ball hawk kind of player
VABills Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Wow, going to the Super Bowl. We have Leonhard and Sith. What more can you ask for then a Vulcan and A Dark Lord. We'll have Leonard do the mindmeld to get the game plans and the Darkload will keep the hankies in the refs pockets. We're saved.
Peter Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I kind of like the way Leonhard plays -- in the little bit that I have seen him. He reminds me a bit of Kelso or Steve Freeman. He seems to know how to play the game. The question is whether he has the physical tools. He also seems to be a pretty good special teams player.
Alaska Darin Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Just saw that too. I really hope when Bowen gets healed they cast off Wire and let Leonhard stick. 771811 Me too. Him vs Wire mentally is like me vs VABills.

scribo Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Let's just hire Vincent as a coach now. 771729 No way could I see him taking the job. He is a very successful businessman off the field. He is going after corporate America after he hangs his cleats up for good. My thought is that the Bills really wanted a roster spot, and I wouldn't at all be surprised if the Bills come to an injury settlement and still part ways with TV in the near future. I do think him being around Donte as much as possible is very beneficial.
VABills Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Me too. Him vs Wire mentally is like me vs VABills. 771820 Is it always about you?
stevewin Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Me too. Him vs Wire mentally is like me vs VABills. 771820 What about physically?
Alaska Darin Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 What about physically? 771828 I'd wear VA like a slipper.

PromoTheRobot Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Anyone still think Whittner was a reach? PTR
Alaska Darin Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Anyone still think Whittner was a reach? PTR 771839 He would have been there at 23!
VABills Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Anyone still think Whittner was a reach? PTR 771839 So let me get this straight. You think the scouts/coach/gm did a great job getting Witner, but then turn around and question them on keeping guys like Reed and Wire? Which is it?
Swift Sylvan Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Reed did a great job last week! We know this cause no one has said that we should get rid of him for a few days now..... As for Wire.......the coaching stuff hopefully feels like this
