donahoeisgod
Just took a quick look at the offical depth chart at Buffalo Bills.com and noted that Whitner is listed as 3rd string SS behind Matt Bowen and Coy Wire....I guess I can just look at it as the great depth we have at that position..... silvermike
Strange. Well, see who gets the most playing time. I bet it's the guy from OSU.
Beerfist
that's really odd considering after this week whitner was only of the only players to make a game-changing play...probably has a little to do with the holdout as well...sok, whitner will get his playing time
kasper13
Huh? Whitner should be the starter and play the entire game. Coy Wire couldn't tackle my gradmother. How he is even in the NFL, let alone starting is beyond me. Whitner had a pick that would have went for a score if it wasn't for Playmaker and is better against the run than Wire. Whitner is the most talented player at Safety the Bills have. He should be in there.
ch19079
they had wire starting agenst the pats. till he missed 5 tackles, and was replaced by whitner. if wire starts agenst the fins, someone should be fired.
VABills
But, but Witner played great. Just because someone has one INT doesn't mean they had a great game folks.
buffaloboyinATL
Peerless in officially the starter as well. I believe last week he was listed behind Josh Reed.

Not "great," just better. And Whitner will only get better. Wire is pretty much as good as he's gonna get. Are you saying you'd rather have Wire starting again? Kelly the Dog
But, but Witner played great. Just because someone has one INT doesn't mean they had a great game folks. 771489[/snapback] But he did make a critical interception and it wasn't a fluke bounce, he anticipated and cut in front. He didn't get burnt deep, he didn't give up a score, he didn't miss many tackles and he made eight in a game he didn't play the whole way. The TEs who were supposed to kill us didn't come close to it. On the road against maybe the best and probably the smartest and most accurate QB in the game. Donte played a very, very good game. You may be the only football fan I have ever heard that thinks giving up one 25 yard pass in a game is inexcusable.

Wire is atrocious.
