The Poojer
we should say this more often, but today especially on the anniversary of 9/11. I want to thank those that protect and serve people like myself! I appreciate it!

smokinandjokin
The cops and firefighters always get the kudos. Here's a special thanks to the guy in the orange vest on the roadwork crew who holds the walkie-talkie and spins the "Stop/Slow" sign. Everybody always dogs that guy, but if he wasn't there, can you imagine the head-on collisions? Thanks for making my cruise through your construction site as safe as possible! You da man! You da man! 769167 Two weeks ago I went through one repaving area, road down to one lane. In addition to the sign guy, they also had the "escort vehicle". One guy who's only job was to lead people through at 40mph. Once he got to the other end, he'd turn around and lead the next group through. smokinandjokin
Because it was. 769173 Was it? I didn't hear it. I love those things. Pretty corny but always good for a chuckle. I heard the one for fantasy football players (and it was funny because I can't stand f.f.)- It said something like, "This week, a fantasy victory for your fantasy players...Next week, a fantasy date with a fantasy woman." The dude who throws in the backup vocals always has the funniest lines. No attempt to hijack the thread. Thanks to all of those who protect and serve. You're running in while I'm running out. You da man! 769167 You respect them even more when you actually work on those job sites. I worked for a year for a paving company doing material testing and had to visit many of those sites and the way people would sometimes drive through them you wonder how truely safe you are working there. You also say to the cops and fire fighters, but what about the paramedics, and the military? Everytime you hear about it its always about the police or fireman, but there were others too and they should be treated in the same respect
