TC in St. Louis Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Whitner never came close to being out of bounds. Was it like that play a few years ago when the unconscious Patriot was lying with his head out of bounds and his leg touched the ball.....today, the guy Whitner jumped over, was his foot out of bounds, thus making Whitner out of bounds by jumping over a guy who is out of bounds? That previous paragraph may have set a new record for the number of times "out of bounds" was mentioned in a single paragraph.
BB2004 Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I know the officiating today was not kind to us, but that call stood out the most. I would have liked to have seen where the block in the back was.
dhg Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Yes there was a penalty on that play, but the fact the whistle blew saying he was out of bounds was a joke. That play wasn't anywhere close to being out of bounds. I would love to see the explaination for that when Rich Eisen has the head of officiating on NFL Network. Another phantom call.
