I've got a good feeling about J.P. Losman

Ok, maybe it's just me but it drives me nuts when people say JP cost us a 1st, 2nd and 5th round pick. Let's do the math...

 

We gave up the next years 1st round for a later round 1st round that year. Kind of a wash. We really only gave up 2 picks, because we got a pick with J.P.

He's right. Sure they traded the 2nd and the 5th the following year to move up in the first but they also used a 1st round pick to draft Losman. So they used a 1st, 2nd and 5th to get him. I don't think it was a bad move given the lack of quality QBs that came out in the following draft (granted, that only holds true if Losman turns into a quality QB himself).

Don't you have to use a PICK to select a player, no matter what....JP is a 1st round pick and they paid a 2nd and 5th to get that 1st round pick to select him
