Bowl Winner Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I do think we should have kept one of the more experienced O lineman, but my real beef is keeping Coy Wire, and not keeping a second fullback. If Shelton goes down then what's the plan? Why do we keep guys like Wire and Josh Reed? These guys never perform. Last but not least why keep Shuad Williams over Gates? Gates was always a better back. You want A Train to be number two that's fine but Williams is awful. I hope this works.
BuckeyeBill Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 It's my understanding that Coy Wire was kept for Special Teams, and Shaud Williams is the change of pace back that Gates isn't. The competition was more A-Train versus Gates, than Williams vs. Gates.
Rubes Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 If Shelton goes down then what's the plan? 763144[/snapback] I would say one of the following: - Neufeld - Three wides, one back - Two wides, two tight ends, one back Since Neufeld is basically a TE and a FB, they could do a few things with him.
