I do think we should have kept one of the more experienced O lineman, but my real beef is keeping Coy Wire, and not keeping a second fullback.

 

If Shelton goes down then what's the plan?

 

Why do we keep guys like Wire and Josh Reed? These guys never perform.

 

Last but not least why keep Shuad Williams over Gates? Gates was always a better back. You want A Train to be number two that's fine but Williams is awful.

It's my understanding that Coy Wire was kept for Special Teams, and Shaud Williams is the change of pace back that Gates isn't. The competition was more A-Train versus Gates, than Williams vs. Gates.

I would say one of the following:

 

- Neufeld

 

- Three wides, one back

 

- Two wides, two tight ends, one back

 

Since Neufeld is basically a TE and a FB, they could do a few things with him.
