PTS Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I got hooked into this franchise last year around this time and since then have rented all eight previous seasons and watched the last two on The SciFi Channel. I didn't know that two weeks ago SciFi Channel announced that they will not be ordering any more SG-1 episodes and that Season 10 will be the last for the record breaking show. Stargate Altantis -- however -- will be picked up for Season 4. Looks to me like SciFi Channel is biting off the hand that fed them for five years and made their network a household name. Maybe they can show more Wrestling on the SciFi Channel. That should have been the first warning. http://www.savestargatesg1.com
Zona Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Watch Scifi's new show Eureka. It's pretty good. The main character reminds me of O'neil.
/dev/null Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: SG1 > Wrestling
BillsWatch Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 There goes one of the reasons for cable. Sci Fi getting into wrestling is absolutely stupid - they are going to alienate their main audience. I never watch NBC so this will not help NBC ratings not even with SNF and blowhard Madden on it with me. The only thing I really like beside Battlestar Galactica is available on DVD very soon after it is aired; the rest is repeats.
KnightRider Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 If they were going to cancel, they should have done it after the eighth season. They pretty much ran out of storylines that year, but it has been much better, especially this year...
