Tipster19 Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 The Bears released DT Michael Haynes. That's interesting, I wonder if Jauron is tempted. http://www.nfl.com/transactions
MadBuffaloDisease Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Haynes has had a career at least, unlike Powell.
JStranger76 Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Hey, he could be a decent 4th end at the very least. He was drafted in the 1st round making 1st round money but not starting. That weighs heavily into a lot of these decisions......
daquixers_is_back Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Maybe he just needs a team change to boost him ... ??
Albany,n.y. Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Maybe he just needs a team change to boost him ... ?? 760199 There are at least 53 guys on that list who need a change. Let's cut our whole roster and pick 53 guys up on waivers, make that 53 guys we've heard of.

That's interesting, I wonder if Jauron is tempted. http://www.nfl.com/transactions 760184 Reggie McNeal released by the Bengals is interesting. Corey Chavous "self proclaimed draft expert" had him as the best QB in the draft (or was it overall player?)
Dwight Drane Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Jovan Haye- Carolina DE/DT I loved this guy coming out of college. Smart, and fluid. I don't know why they balk after one year. Carolina must be a deep team. Najeh Davenport also was cut.
2003Contenders Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 It would be very ironic if we picked up Haynes. He was drafted with the pick that we gave up for Drew...

/dev/null Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Wasn't that Ty Warren? 760245 We traded a 2003 1st round pick to New England during the 2002 draft, which they traded to the Bears on draft day 2003 which they Bears used on Haynes btw, Haynes would be a good pickup. He hasn't lived up to expectations but would be an improvement over Denney

Lurker Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 No IND cuts. Odd... 760248 Polian never releases his list early...did the same thing when he was here.
DanInSouthBuffalo Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 1) Dan "son of Joe" Klecko (Pats)-He showed some promise his first year---they had him doing all kinds of stuff. He has been non-existent since then. 2) Danny Clark-LB (Raiders)-he'll probably find work quickly. 3) Peter Warrick-WR/PR (Seahawks)-Watch the Raiders pick him up. The two I'm watching with interest are Matt Mauck (Titans) who I think would be a great #3 QB prospect for someone and Tyrone Calico (Titans) whose size (6-4) and speed are too great to pass up---when he isn't hurt.
stuckincincy Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Polian never releases his list early...did the same thing when he was here. 760254 Thanks. I was wondering if they cut a 3rd year wr, John Standeford from Purdue, who spent the last 2 years on the Colt's PS.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 btw, Haynes would be a good pickup. He hasn't lived up to expectations but would be an improvement over Denney No he wouldn't. And we haven't seen Denney in this style of defense.
nodnarb Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Reggie McNeal released by the Bengals is interesting. Corey Chavous "self proclaimed draft expert" had him as the best QB in the draft (or was it overall player?) 760219 corey chavous is an idiot and the fact that espn had him on and pumped him as a "knowledgable draft guru" says a lot about the direction that espn's production values have gone. The TO Network based that week-long chavous pimp on nothing, except for maybe corey's own self adulation, which anyone with eyes can read all over his face. his picks were laughable, his reasoning for each pick was freshmanic at best, and he revealed the entire discussion as nothing more than a blatant self-serve job. So yea, I remember that.
