Peter Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 By releasing him and resigning him after the season, the Raiders will not be responsible for his salary the entire year unless he sticks with the team the entire year. This way, if they want to cut him after a couple of games, the Raiders would only be responsible for the prorated portion of his salary.
