mary owen Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Gates and Wilson. I really liked George Wilson. Davis better have a good year, because I think George got screwed.
/dev/null Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Hopefully Baker, Gates, Geisinger, King, Leonard, and Wilson clear waivers so we can keep them on the Practice Squad
Frez Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Hopefully Baker, Gates, Geisinger, King, Leonard, and Wilson clear waivers so we can keep them on the Practice Squad 759885 Scrubs................who cares
keepthefaith Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Hopefully Baker, Gates, Geisinger, King, Leonard, and Wilson clear waivers so we can keep them on the Practice Squad 759885 Gates is probably signed by another team already.
Dan Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Simply astounding that Wire can keep making this team.
/dev/null Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Scrubs................who cares 759887 true, none of them will ever develop into starters. but gates and wilson could develop into decent backups
true_blue_bill Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Lionel Gates? Wow. 759865 I thought the A-Train looked pretty good. Guess the coaching staff agreed
mary owen Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I noticed that - I thought Merz and Pennington were headed for PS. Also caught my attention: DiGiorgio over Ezekial? I'm also glad they kept Powell, he showed me a little something in the preseason. 759883 I think DiGiorgio showed up more than Liam. and then there's that character thing.....Liam is a psycho!!!
chinabox Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Surprised Shaud made it. Surprised Coy survived again. Surprised Ezekiel got the axe.
true_blue_bill Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Simply astounding that Wire can keep making this team. 759890 Who is our starting safety? They going to start the Rookie?
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!! COy Wire, I hate you
true_blue_bill Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Surprised Shaud made it. 759894 Me too! They guy is real tough, but size does matter. Guess the size of his heart is carrying him!
mary owen Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Coy must have gotten a hold of those pictures Chuck Lester's been keeping! 759873 I though we had him Stevie....I thought he was a goner oh the humanity of it all!!!!!
Rico Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 coy's still not safe. i exopect a waiver pickup for mlb and/or 3rd tackle that will cost coy boy his slot 759875 Those 2 pick-ups would make a lot of sense, but I don't think Coy's going anywhere.
Coach Tuesday Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 The cuts are easy to explain: Special Teams First, this is Marv we're talking about - a former ST coach who understands the importance of that unit. Second, this team is barely going to compete on offense and defense, nomatter who they kept or cut today. ST is the one area the Bills can excel at, and as we all know (and Marv knows) it can change a game. That explains: Wire, Shaud Williams, Haggan/Stamer, etc. Not really surprised. Good for DiGiorgio.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Second, this team is barely going to compete on offense and defense, nomatter who they kept or cut today. 759901 Aren't we in a positive mood?
Kelly the Dog Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Coy Wire may have been kept because Bowen is hurt and may not be ready for the opener. You need a back-up free safety, especially if you're keeping two rookies. And while Wire is surely deserving of some of his whipping boy status, this now makes three different staffs that have kept him. That is saying something. I am surprised by a couple of them. Shaud over Gates doesn't make a lot of sense to me, except that Gates and Thomas are pretty similar players. Shaud adds very little on ST because he would the #3 PR and probably the #3 KR and doesn't stand out at all on the coverage teams.
mary owen Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Surprised Shaud made it. Surprised Coy survived again. Surprised Ezekiel got the axe. 759894 if i were the turk, i'd sleep with one eye open tonight. Liam scares the crap out of me
daquixers_is_back Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Very surprised Eric King got cut. And damn you Coy Wire...you stay another year! 759864 Eric King was burned badly by the friggin Detroi Lions ...
