keepthefaith Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 JP has a 90.4 passer rating through 4 games. That's #1 among opening day starters for the preseason. Not bad. http://www.nfl.com/stats/leaders/NFL/PRAT/2006/pre
jarthur31 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 It means nothing. Yet. But I hope he can replicate those numbers except the fumbles and INT's when it counts.
VABills Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Not sure where that came from but first off even by that list Favre is ahead of him. Second, he really is 14th in QB rating in preseason among starters. http://www.nfl.com/stats/playersort/NFL/QB-PASSING/2006/pre
firedawg Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 The numbers mean nothing at this point. His play on the field means everything. Wether he is playing against 1st or 2nd string D's is not really important either. He is getting time on the field, honing his ability to make a read and with every down is gaining the trust and respect of his team mates. That is whats important. Numbers do not lead a team, people do. Like it or not (I happen to like it) JP is our starter for now and IMHO he is doing all the right things both on and off the field. If you keep your expectations at a reasonable level he will meet them or even exceed them.
Pirate Angel Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Hes probly among the highest in turnovers 2
NEEDFREDJACKSONNOW Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 He also had 9 sacks, most on the list.....
Kelly the Dog Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Really interesting article in the News this morning. Don't have any idea if it will translate to the field, and a lot of times it's total garbage, but this kind of stuff is fascinating to me. http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20060...?tbd1018432.asp

It sounds as though Turk is doing a good job with JP. If JP can continue to improve (as he has this pre-season), it could be an exciting year. The regular season will be the test for him and the rest of the team.
