buffaloboyinATL
He "confirmed" that Buffalo was one of several teams talking to Collins but that Collins felt that his best chance to start was in Tennessee. I don't put too much faith in what he says but if true that means Holcomb is on thin ice, as many of us suspect. He also said that the Vikings are showing interest in Deion Branch. I found an article backing that claim. http://www.startribune.com/510/story/636989.html

Arkady Renko
Collins has already signed with the Titans. 756374 I think Mort was saying that Buffalo was one of the times interested when Collins was still available. I am surprised Mort would have any scoop on the Bills considering Donahoe's change in employment.

MartyBall4Buffalo
considering the offensive scheme seems to be moving the ball vertically down the field. Our previous interest it would seem in kerry collins makes sense. Right now I'd be looking to move Holcomb to the chargers who have 2 rookies behind Phillip Rivers. MadBuffaloDisease
I'd be pleased to see Branch go to the NFC. I still have a hard time seeing anyone giving up a 1st rounder for Branch, in conjunction with the high salary he wants to be paid. As good as he is, he's never had more than 1,000 yards (he was 2 yards shy last year, but that was in a full 16-game season) and 5 TD's in a season, and has had injury problems. Or maybe they have a decent reserve Offensive lineman they might give us for him. In any event I don't think Kelly is long for the Bills.

Is that what the Pat's are asking for? Still, he's a fine player - one who helps his qb out. Brady will miss him if he sits out or moves on. They're also interested in Todd Pinkston who just got cut from the Eagles (Brad Childress connection). They're desperate for a "veteran" receiver to add to their crazy-young corps. I can only surmise that they'd be asking for a 1st rounder for him. Word is that if he sits out 10 games this year and returns to collect his year of eligibility, they'll franchise him next year. Even though Pinkston is nowhere near Branch's ability, he'll probably help more, and immediately, given he knows Childress' system. Plus he won't cost a draft pick or a huge contract. AJ1
Heard Mort say on ESPN radio last night that the QB competition in Buffalo was a sham...that JP was going to get it all along. First thing I've agreed with him regarding the Bills since his bitter remarks last draftday.

Also, Pinkston's still on the mend from a ruptured Achilles last summer, and has been battling tendonitis in BOTH Achilles during training camp. K-gunner
Pinkston gets hurt taking a swig of Gatorade...wouldnt touch that guy. I do agree that Holcomb is on his way out and the Bills will be searching for another QB.

First thing I've agreed with him regarding the Bills since his bitter remarks last draftday. 756586 A sham? Anyone who wrote a report about practice at training camp wrote that Losman looked better. I wonder how many practices Mort attended? He has hit 65% of his passes in preseason and has thrown the ball down the field at over 8 yds per pass. Mort knows jack and besides that anything he writes or says about the Bills will be negative because his buddy and number one team resource is no longer around.
