The truth is very few QBs show much their first year's starting despite how many year's they've been in the league. I've seen most of TJ's games, and while he's a nice player at times, he's very inconsistent and has questionable character issues. Either the Pats are much better than I thought and have mucho depth at all positions. Or for some reason the score was run up. I doubt that however as Belichik is not known as one to run up the score. I'll admit I'm worried for week 1 but then again I think a 7-9 finish is most probable for this team with the following year being outstanding. Portis being out and Brunell being at the end are NOT good combos. And I was a little off. If the Redskins finish with a worse record than the Broncos, the teams swap 1st rounders and the Broncos get the Redskins' 3rd rounder. If the Broncos finish worse, they get the Redskins' 3rd and 4th round picks. So it looks like the Broncos will be picking him next draft and have a 3rd rounder to boot. He was incompetent as a HC but has done well as DC prior to and after his Bills stint. He also was a gentleman and there is no real reason for us to attack him. Heck, we looked like world-beaters when we opened the season thrashing NE 38-0 a couple of years back but look what happened to our season. Several teams have utterly bafflingly pathetic performances. I am actually happy that NE won so handily as it gives them more reason to be over-confident going into the regular season and more opportunity for us to beat them. I'm also not saying that I KNOW for a FACT that he will. I lived in Erie surrouded by many Browns fans who would gladly hang Belichick in effigy just like we would do to Gregg Williams. They were just as passionate about seeing him run out on a rail, and were just as wrong about his chances to improve on his stint in Cleveland in another location. Bottom line: time will tell.
