Those were always fun. Personally, I'm prepared for a Gillette ass-kicking. That way, if we *do* happen to win, it will be that much nicer. -Jeff
Hollywood Donahoe Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Personally, I'm prepared for a Gillette ass-kicking. I hope you're right, but the cliché "any given Sunday" is no doubt a truism - remember Bills at Pats '05? Buffalo came as close as possible to pulling that one off.

They'll be an underdog until they get those 2 things fixed. Look for Brady to have a great day in the opener. I'd love to be wrong.

Or at least in a bills/pats game-time thread on this board?

John Adams Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 The pats have the best QB in the league and the best coach. I'd wait a little before saying they will lose to a pretty bad Bills team. But here's hoping.

I'm not sure the networks are too excited by that notion of us beating a popular team like the Bradyiots.

Tasker Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Personally, I'm prepared for a Gillette ass-kicking. That way, if we *do* happen to win, it will be that much nicer. 752819 This is a football game we could win or lose. We should not be the Vegas favorite as we are a young unproven team with weaknesses going up against the dynasty and playing in their house. That said, these two football teams are not as far apart as people think. If we lose it is not the end of the world or our season, but I'm going in expecting to win. It doesn't hurt if some other fans want to set themselves up to not be let down through pessimism, but I sure hope that the coaches and players are all going in with the expectation of winning. Don't jump off a bridge after if a win doesn't happen, but preparing for an ass-kicking seems a little wierd.
bbfan54 Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 The Pats are still far superior to the bills on offense and defense despite their losses in the last few years. I'm not saying the bills can't win it but it would be very unlikely to win at New England.
Fan in San Diego Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I just watched the first three quaters of NE playing the Redskins and they are dismantling the Redskins. Gregg Willaims defense has been completely dominated. No passs rush and the TE over the middle is killing the Redskins. The Bills better watch this tape and have an answer for Ben Watson over the middle, because he has killed the Skins. I hope the Bills win ! But this will be a tough assignment for the Bills. Mistake free football is a must !

Looks like the real deal can't wait for the start of the regular season when they do some real game planning. 752803 I sure hope you are right but it is the "real game planning" that you should be worried about. No one is better than Bellichek at game planning and covering weaknesses. We have an inexperienced QB, they have Brady. We have a new coaching staff, they have a proven staff. We have questions all over both lines and we are trying to learn a new defense. Despite the Pats problems they have a proven track record of clutch performance and making plays. We don't. I think the Bils will improve as the season goes on but winning the season opener on the road against NE is asking a lot.
