TheMadCap
lol....yeah, my brother feels the same way as you do. I certainly can understand it, I just can't allow myself to be seduced by the dark side I think what really solidified my feelings was the footage (I thnk it was actually on the Empire of Dreams documentary) where they talked about how Lucas had to fight so hard against the studios to get the first two films out. I just keep coming back to the idea that ultmately it's his baby, so he should be able to do wth it as he pleases, regardless of how I feel about it. That being said, if some idea that I created ended up becoming the phenomenon that the SW universe is today, I think I'd want to do what I could to appease those fans who were responsible for my success. But just becasue that's what I would do doesn't mean that's what someone else should do. I can see it both ways....I really can. I just feel that I've gotten the better end of the deal when it comes to Star Wars. It's a sacred thing to me....in some ways it has even helped define me as I've grown up. I've never spent money on a SW item/dvd/etc that didn't bring me a lot of enjoyment - again, dating all the way back to childhood. I guess I'm just a homer, or a SW geek, or whatever....but I just can't help it 753452[/snapback] Well, that Death Star playset was pretty sweet. I especially loved the green trash monster and the foam bricks. I think the worst toy ever was the Star Destroyer playset. Except for the cool Vader meditation chamber, it was super cheesy. It had an escape hatch in the back. To where, outerspace? And what was up with the masters of the universe-esque super gun on the front of it? I think I had just about every other damn thing....I was particularly fond of the Millennium falcon and the Vader tie fighter I remember when I sent away a bunch of proofs of purchase to get Boba Fett in the mail, lol....those were the days

I should see if that stuff is worth anything... CW

You could sell that and then afford to get a blu-ray player

Man, this brings back memories of when my brothers would play "war" between the SW guys and the GI Joe guys. Sometimes it would go on for days. Then when they got bored with that the SW guys and GI Joe guys would join forces and come attack our barbie house.

I can tell you that a Millenium Falcon in a VG Star Wars box will net you about &500 bucks easy. The thing is, if the toys are in good shape and you have the box, you are sitting on a gold mine. If you are interested in selling anything, I can give you the addy for a site where collectors will take pretty much the entire lot from you. For example, my VG blue snaggletooth from the Sears Cantina Playset is worth about 200 bucks loose...
