He may very well be cut by the end of the preseason.

I remember hearing during the Indy game they might be in line for a backup QB. If I were Marv I've give Polian a call and see if can swing a deal to send Holcomb back to Indy where his career begin. I doubt we could get him but love to get Ben Utecht.

The 325K savings probably isn't worth it just for money sake to cut him.

I just don't know what value he brings based on what I've seen. I could say something like "granted, it's a new offense," but it's not so much a new offense as much as it is an offense with "chunkability." He doesn't have a chunkable arm so I can't see how he would help this offense.

And like I mentioned before, compared to the athletes on the field, he moves in slow motion. That takes away the deep ball and lets defenses stay close to protect the underneath stuff. The only way he'd succeed is if our running game is working, and to be honest, if our running game is working, then Nall will be fine.

If we lose JP AND Nall, then !@#$ it anyway because there's no one available who would make much more of a difference than Holcomb or Kingsbury.

So get rid of him, save a couple of bucks, and move on.

I honestly would never make a comment like this because I'm not an Xs and Os guy, but jeesus, man, when I can see how slow he is, it's time for him to go.

I keep watching the Rams QB situation. If they release Ryan Fitzpatrick, I would think serious thought would have to be given to picking him up. I liked what I saw of him in limited action last year, and he knows Fairchild's system. Also he is Ivy league, if you believe there's anything to that with two Ivy's running the show.

FWIW, salary cap issues aside, I would sure prefer to have him than Holcomb myself.
