Like Pakistan?  Islamic nation.  [...] It's citizens are often involved in anti-US demonstrations (as recently as last week), and they may even be harboring the real guy that was behind 9-11 (remember him?). Edited to convey the sarcasm that was intended.

That's grossly over-simplified. You make it sound as if Pakistan is a unified country where foreign and military policies are consistent with public opinion.

It makes a nice soundbite, though.

Elections are coming up. Soundbites are needed.

That was the point. Invading Pakistan would be foolish. Yet the reasons that the pro-war pundits are using to rationalize a war with Iran could be applicable to many countries, and they're not lining up to pre-empt any of them. The reasons I see bantered about are "They're islamic and they hate us", "They want nukes", "Terrorism". To me, that's grossly over-simplified.

Okay. Good point, then.

Using GOP rhetoric to point out the absurdity of GOP rhetoric seemed applicable.

I would caution people, though, against using GOP rhetoric to point out the absurdity of administration policy, as they're usually unrelated.

We cannot leave before we finish the job.

Job. Finish. Iraq. Understanding issues. Democrats dumb.

I love and hate campaigns. They're entertaining, but they make everyone seem like retards.

Like Pakistan?  Islamic nation.  Has nuclear weapons.  Is not a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.  It's citizens are often involved in anti-US demonstrations (as recently as last week), and they may even be harboring the real guy that was behind 9-11 (remember him?).  Sounds like a great time to invade Iran.  It all adds up to an invasion of Iran.

The question was "If any one of the islamic nations (Iran in particular) had the military capability that the United States now has, how would they use it?

Are you saying that Pakistan has the equal military capability of the United States simply because they have a nuclear weapon?

Bzzzt. Try again.

Please don't insult retarded people. In most cases they have more honor, integrity and goodwill than all politicians and moronic, ill-informed American voters combined.
