IDBillzFan
I was misleading -- he was our "top" pick last year due to the fact that we did not have a first round draft pick. This was a team laden with skill players, begging for players that would make the squad a more physical unit. What do we do with our top-most pick? Choose an undersized WR with speed. Makes absolutely no sense. 744964 Please let us know who you would have selected with that pick. And we'll even give you the advantage of hindsight and the internet. Who would you have picked based on the condition of our team at the time and why would have you chosen him?
Dawgg
OK. Here are the linemen taken after Roscoe Parish (since they were availabe when the Bills picked). Any one of these would have been a better pick IMO. DT Jonathan Babineaux (Atlanta): Solid player in the defensive line rotation but stuck behind a Pro Bowler in Rod Coleman. Defintely would have made sense to take him, considering Ron Edwards was hurting and Pat Williams left via free agency. OT Adam Terry (Baltimore): A lot of folks on this board were projecting him in a Bills uniform (not that it means anything). He is second on the Ravens depth chart as a "swing tackle" and has shown that he can play both tackle positions. He could have challenged Gandy and would have served as valuable depth to an O-Line that was in need of desperate help. OG Evan Mathis (Carolina): Penciled in as the starting guard in Carolina's offense, one of the best rushing teams in the NFL year after year -- and who is he replacing? Tutan Reyes. He would have been very useful but we entered the draft with a false sense of security at the guard position with the likes of Bennie Anderson. OG Richie Incognito (St. Louis): Starting left guard for the Rams' high powered offense. Again, would have been useful, considering this team has not drafted and developed a young talented guard since Ruben Brown. Please let us know who you would have selected with that pick. And we'll even give you the advantage of hindsight and the internet. Who would you have picked based on the condition of our team at the time and why would have you chosen him? 744965

MadBuffaloDisease
Preseason. Justice will turn into a very solid offensive lineman. Given the Eagles are one of the winningest franchises over the last few years, I would tend to trust their talent evaluation, particularly when it comes to linemen. Unlike the Bills, the Eagles invest in linemen on both sides of the ball (as evidenced by their first 2 picks). We'll see if either Bunckley or Justice turns into anything. Based on the Eagles' 1st 2 pre-season games (Bunckley didn't play in the 1st one), neither is ready to start yet so neither could have been considered a better pick than what the Bills did. Fla Bills Fan
Tampa Bay has been critisized by the media for taking Davin Joseph in the first round instead of Justice. The Bucs had inside knowledge on Justice, having hired two former USC coaches, and a current USC coach is the son of a Bucs coach. The Bucs did not want Justice period, and felt the only Tackle with first round talent was D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Finally in my opinion, the Bucs have done much better at evaluating talent than Philly.

Fla Bills Fan
Why bring up Rosco Parish? Wasn't he drafted by the previous regime? I hope he turns out to be a player, but judging by this years draft I think if Marv was in charge of the previous draft it would have been totally different. nodnarb
yawn. More "we should have drafted..." nonsense. News flash: Winston Justice is soft, is not performing well in philly so far, and had far too much in common with mike williams. That is, in it for the checks, no love of the game, no depth of character on the field...

C.Biscuit97
This, I wholeheartedly agree with. John McCargo looked good playing on the same line as Manny Lawson and Mario Williams. 744783 Yeah, Justice looked great with two Heisman trophy winners behind him, the 2nd and 10th picks of the draft, and a 2nd round guard next to him.
