Get a load of this as a friendly reminder as to what the preseason REALLY means:

How did that carry over into the season?  :(  :ph34r:  :blink:

 

Could you imagine ESPN's reaction to this now with their overreporting of the NFL preseason???  :doh:

Was Linton the featured back? I believe he was splitting with Morris and Bryson.

He did split time but he got the majority of the carries

You can safely ignore pre-season performances - be it 3rd party or your own re db, wr, rb - but pay attention to the lines and the lb and the qb spots.

If the OL gave RJ LOADS of time to throw the ball he was a great QB (then again there aren’t many QBs that are bad when given time to throw). He was accurate as hell and had a cannon for an arm...just don't ask him to make a quick decision (or even a semi-quick decision). If there was any pressure at all he fell apart. Unfortunately for RJ, in the NFL you're never going to get loads of time on a consistent basis. I'd imagine the box score above came from one of the few games where he had lots and lots of time.
