ganesh Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 I think the bills rookie class of 2006 had a decent game against the Panthers and some of them showed they definitely have an upside to stick with this franchise for the next few years... 1. Whitner was able to play in a NFL game just a week after signing his contract and thought he distinguished himself pretty well. 2. McCargo: Saw him on a few tackles early on, but probably was a quiet day for him. 3. Youbouty: If he had made that INT, then he would have really had a great game. However, the judgement he made on that pass breakup was very nice. He read the QB all the way through....That could have been 7 pts. 4. KO Simpson: The guy had some passes defended nicely and he showed his speed running down that sideline after picking the fumble. 5. Kyle Williams: Stuffing the run on consecutive downs was great...The guy brings that nasty attitude to the defense. 6. Butler: I saw Butler name being mentioned during the 3rd qtr and positive stuff about him. I think he is a good project waiting to be developed.. 7. Didn't see much about Menz. Also, did Gibson play on Saturday. How did he do ?
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Id also like to add keith ellison. Forget what you read about this guy timing slow in the 40. He brings good sideline to sideline speed. I have a feeling this guy like Crowell before him will be a starter in about 2-3 years.

Chilly Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Wait you mean Marv might not be senile after all?
Astrobot Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Josh Cooper at DE, while not his rookie year in the NFL, is new to us. He was constantly in the backfield, and contributed on special teams. He and Eric Powell had a good game at DE.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Pennington was overmatched. But he's a 7th round rookie so what can you expect? Same with Merz, who I believe is either hurt or hasn't practiced enough to play in a game.
