Rayzer32 Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 So far Lindell has impressed me, although his one miss tonight was very ugly. The kick was nowhere near the uprights which makes me think the hold was bad. Moorman is the regular holder and was not playing. All in all, Lindell is doing fine. His 49 yarder was solid. I'll still hold my breath every time he lines up for a kick, but he is giving me more confidence with every kick thus far. He could be the difference in a 10-6 season vs an 8-8 season.
Guest Guest Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 His k/offs were pretty good too..He even put one in the end zone.

Rayzer32 Posted August 22, 2004 Author Posted August 22, 2004 I don't trust him under pressure beyond the 40.... 3205 A case or Norwoodism. Alot of us Bills fans are like that with any kicker.
rockpile Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 On the FGs he was working with Travis Brown as backup holder, who muffed the first "miss" by Lindell". Lindell's kickoffs were often on the one or two yardline, and as it was mentioned, one had to be downed in the end zone. Have not seen that in YEARS! I will keep my fingers crossed that he gets better hitting three outside 4 yards.
BillsNYC Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 I also paid attention to Lindell. His kickoffs were much better than in the past, and outside of that one botched kick, he has looked solid all pre-season. Considering he had a substitute holder on Sat, he still nailed that 49 yarder perfectly.
Realist Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 If I recall correctly, last preseason his kickoffs were consistently around the 2 or 3, then during the season he was only kicking to the 10. I don't know if that was by design or what. I just hope he continues kicking like he is.

But if Moorman is in there, you have to wonder if he'd be 7/7 with no missed PATs. Cautiously optimistic am I.

Just because of the angles involved, this made his kicks shorter. I don't know if he also had to take a little off his kicks to make sure they were accurate and didn't go out of bounds.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Didn't he get injured on his shoulder during the regular season and played through it ? 5937 Yep. It was in the 2nd game, against the Jags.
