Spun Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Some Buffalo boosters have organized an event called Buffalo Old Home Week that has been taking place this week. The effort is to get people to give Buffalo a chance for living, working and play. Personally, I couldn't and wouldn't relocate but I would consider a second home (condo). But the taxes on property and everything else makes it tough. I hope the efforts pay off for those who choose to return and for Buffalo. If the politicos were able to change the tax structure which could lead to business investments and j-o-b-s, would you consider Buffalo for a second home if not a first? http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20060811/1011516.asp http://www.buffoldhome.com/
udonkey Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 I have considered it and will do so again if and when the opportunity presents itself. I like the company that I work for, so if they are willing to move me, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I hate to burst her bubble, but it's the taxes and the government that HAVE kept everybody away, and will continue to do so. All this "feel good" stuff is just a waste of time until the taxes and government are fixed.
