It was great, not too many people up in the area, so getting around easy. We stayed at the Old Forge Camping Resort. Lake Placid I haven't been to in about 5 years. If you have time, do the bobsled run. It's worth the $35 ($25 when I did it 5 years ago). Lake George I haven't been to in about 20 years. Many changes in that area from what I hear.
