Britbillsfan
I did not know Plantagenet was a norse name.... and how come all those norsemen brought so many french names in the english language? beef, pork, vegetables, dessert, prunes and pears for dinner ? 739958 Well William the Conquerer, William Rufus, Stephen and Henry I (ie: the first Norman kings) were not Plantagenets......... Besides they had to learn the lingo of the locals they had conquered because the French kept pretending they did not understand them...... (mind you in England they had to learn the language of the locals proved incapable of understanding them......)

pdh1
I also hope that its not just BS to boost Bush and Blair in the polls (I think the past 5 years have given us ample reason to be skeptical of these kind of reports). 739897 Yeah, people have to make up all the stories about Islamic groups being violent and hateful. If it weren't for these made up stories from the US and British governments, you wouldn't hear any thing about them killing people.. blzrul
It's nice to know that other countries are able to detect and foil terrorist attacks against the US. Too bad I don't feel confident that our government is capable of doing the same...well, it obviously it NOT capable, given what happened in 1993, 1995 and 2001.... Of course, when it was reported it was dismissed as fear-mongering, because it never happened. You just can't win: either you stop attacks and people think you're making up the threat because it never happened, or you don't stop attacks, and people think you're incompetent for not being aware of the real threat. It basically reduces to: people are !@#$ing stupid.

New York terror plot in which most of the terrorists lived in MOntreal and went to Concordia University... and were doing the Bachelor of Economics. That kind of freaked me out. Heard today that they were planning on using a liquid explosive in sport drink bottles and use the flash from a disposable camera as the trigger. Looks like they have been practicig for several years. Remember the report from the woman journalist on those arab "musicians".
