Dibs Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 This thread has been bothering me since it's inception. Reverse seniority means JP will start. Is it really that difficult to understand? 738967 Apparently for most, it is.
TigerJ Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I would not be surprised in the least if Holcomb starts (unless he continues to have practices like last night). I also think it means nothing. If Holcomb starts vs. Carolina, Losman starts the Bengals preseason game. If this is indeed a competition, both are going to need to have their shots versus the opposing team's #1 guys.
Jukester Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 This thread has been bothering me since it's inception. Reverse seniority means JP will start. Is it really that difficult to understand? 738967 As has been pointed out on this board, it all depends what he means by seniority: I find it amusing that both the Buffalo News and The D&C made a obvious mistake when Jauron was talking about who would start this week. Jauron said we might go with seniority, or reverse seniority. Both papers said that obviously meant Holcomb and that reverse seniority would mean Klingsbury. Wrong. If he meant seniority as in older, it would be Holcomb and reverse seniority would be Losman, two years younger than Kingsbury. If he meant seniority on the Bills it would mean Losman, who was here a year longer than Holcomb. And reverse would be Kingsbury. If he meant depth chart he would have said incumbency. Of he did mean Holcomb would start, which is obvious, but man are these sportswriters pretty bad. 738080
cantankerous Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I'd be willing to bet Holcomb starts the Carolina game...from all the reports i've heard John Losman still sucks.
Nanker Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 This is stoopid wiff a capital T. Wholecum hasn't even been cut yet by The Bills. How can he start for the Carolina Panfers this Saturday? Ur dreemin.
TigerJ Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I'd be willing to bet Holcomb starts the Carolina game...from all the reports i've heard John Losman still sucks. 739605 All the reports I've heard say Holcomb sucks more. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writ...ills/index.html "We're not expecting Bills head coach Dick Jauron to come out and declare a winner just yet, but the dots are starting to get connected in favor of quarterback J.P. Losman. Losman could still jeopardize his standing with shaky performances in the first two preseason games, but the former first-round pick has turned in mostly solid showings in practice, while veteran Kelly Holcomb has struggled mightily at times." Chris Brown of the Bills Digest reports that Losman has consistently outplayed Holcomb, as hasPaul Hamilton of WGR.
