LevysEraII
Pat Williams in Childress's doghouse If released, would he fit into the Bills new scheme? 737928[/snapback] I'd sign him in a second. Use him on running downs and McCargo and Tripplett together on passing downs. Barring injury, I guarantee top 10 run defense with Pat in the fold. Ray
Childress reminds me of Mularkey trying to be a tough guy with veterans who have been in the league for 10 years. From what I've read it sounds as if he is at his usual weight. Hopefully he releases Big Pat and the Bills pick him up--PW loves Buffalo and I'm sure would love to come back with the new regime in place. H2o
The Vikes would be complete idiots to let Pat go, but you know how things work out from time to time.
apuszczalowski
I doubt Buffalo would give him a look since he would not fit in with the type of D-linemen that Buffalo currently has. The style Buffalo plans to use on Defence this year does not require a huge guy like PW, that one of the reasons Sam Adams is gone. I don't see it happening even though most fans would love to have him back
ricojes
They won't release him, he was one of the best players last year. But if they do ML should act quick. Before ML took his position with the Bills, he couldn't belive TD let PW go.

Pat may be big, but he is quick and Jauron would find a way to fit him in. You adapt to the great players, not otherwise.

LongLiveRalph
Pat is not going anywhere. He had the best year of his career last season (supposedly...I didn't see him much but everyone says he was a terror.) The Vikings gave him a target weight to come into camp at, and he showed up a few cheeseburgers above that number. Rookie head coach = send a message = Big Pat on the PUP list. Pat was removed from the PUP list and practiced yesterday, after spending a week with the conditioning coaches. He will be starting all year and will be his usual disruptive self in the middle of the D-Line. I don't think this whole PUP situation was anything more than a rookie head coach trying to instill some discipline and let the squad know that they do things his way or no way. They never had any intention of letting Pat go or sitting him out. They just wanted to enforce their rules and set the precedent that everyone better come into camp in shape.
