Rico
Eagles first-round pick Brodrick Bunkley is ready to end a 16-day holdout FridayI don't think Donte will be out 16 days, that's pretty long, especially this year with the new C.B.A.
OnTheRocks
my question is....do you think if Leinart signs before Donte will it delay Donte's signing even longer if Leinart gets a "QB Deal"? That supercedes the dollars Donte is looking for right now? or will he and is agent realize that the standard "QB Deal" is typically more than the "SS Deal"? buffaloboyinATL
Interesting use of past tense in this article. Maybe Marv is right, time is running out. "Whitner and Allen, both safeties, were expected to compete for starting jobs with their new teams." http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/9585955
Nanker
Maybe it's all by design that Whitner isn't signing because he doesn't want to start the season at SS and have his baptism by fire in NewenGland and Dieami. Perhaps he wants to ease into it. He'll look better being the starter in game three than he would by starting in game one. We'll be so grateful to have Coy Wire benched by then that we'll forget all about his training camp holdout.
