Troy Vincent said he talked to Whitner and Whitner told him the contract was not good enough.

Troy, get that phone number to Marv, stat.

Time to start taking money off the table.

I don't know they all might decide to start acting like adults rather than devolving into some game trying to show who had bigger cojones.

Maybe Whitner should tell Marv instead of Troy Vincent.

I don't know, but he was given money between Huff and Sims. Maybe the sticking point is that they want more guaranteed money, whereas the Bills want him to work for it. I think it's pretty adult to ask and expect that from someone.

Yeah, Troy basically said on Sirius radio that he told Whitner to just get his deal done right and that with his help he would be able to catch him up real quick once he gets in camp.

That’s what negations are about, especially when you’re at a stand still. Buffalo holds the chips, not Whitner.

Whitner has two options, either sign the current deal which Levy said was on par for his draft position, or sit out and enter the draft next year.

In the first scenario he accepts his contract, and a salary that puts him in line with the 8th overall pick. In the second he is out of football for a year, and also get's labeled a pain in A$$ to work with. He would lose millions if he chooses option two. No doubt it would hurt the Bills, but the Bills will move on. Whitner would face the type of financial repercussions that could effect him the rest of his life.

The time for hardball is now.
