Anybody in our Division Rivals' towns...

have any scouting repors from your local media? I've heard some rumors (on ESPN radio, mind you) that Culpepper's looked good. Figures.

Any news from you road warriors?

this really does not matter from a skill level, but the beat writers for the Jets have been blasting them in the papers out here b/c this new coach is trying to run camp like belli-CHICk -> stand-offish with the media, no player interviews, no real fan access to camp, etc. they even said on day 1 it went as bad as ferguson litterally running away from reporters trying to ask him questions.

again, doesn't really mean anything, except appreciate how well a show the bills run up in rochester, which faced with a difficult season like this one you better have fan support for at least one reason.

I believe Miami is grossly over-rated. Let's say Daunte Culpepper is healthy. He still has to prove that he can play well without Randy Moss. Chambers is good, but he's no Moss.

Ronnie Brown is a good running back, but can he run the ball as hard as he has without someone like Ricky to give him a breather? I think not. If he does, he will get injured.

Miami has a lousy secondary and their offensive line isn't much better.

As a matter of fact, I believe Buffalo will win in Miami when we play them week 2.

Yeah I've posted this many times over and I actually like Brown & Culpepper. Their winning streak last year was done against lesser competition than the '04 Bills in far less convincing fashion to boot. Based on a lot of the predictions I've seen I would say they're the most overrated team in the AFC and NE might actually be the most underrated. Still, they're just about impossible to beat at home in September so I'm not getting my hopes up for that game.

Up here in Patriot land, the Red Sox are in first place.

Tedy Bruschi walked on the Charles River to save a Brazilian Dunkin' Donuts employee and his eleven puppies from drowning, when their boat capsized while attempting to enter Cambridge illegally. Nobody told them they could get a police escort.

Oh, and Tom Brady was seen hugging a goat in Provincetown last weekend.
