Exactly... Like Illinois.

 

I wanna be able to fill up the ride and get a bottle of Jack at the same time... Do they still have those gas pump thingys (the flip things that enable you to fill up and not hold the handle) in NYS outlawed?

 

Geesh... You can't kill a couple birds with one stone anymore in some states!

It never seemed like a big deal to plan ahead ones alcohol purchases or wait a few hours to buy stuff later.

In these here parts, you can't buy anything alcoholic at all on Sunday. Can still drink at most restauraunts, though.... that is, in most counties.

We had that in MA until a few years ago. The main objection was always raised by the Catholic Church, so some genius got it passed during that whole molestation uproar.

And it doesn't seem like a big deal to allow people to buy alcohol at 8 am vs. 12 pm.
