Defintely the post of the day. Thanks nodarb for bringing logic to this thread. Travis did fumble and it is a problem, but Willis hasn't shown ANYTHING yet. Bottom line, Travis outperformed Willis today.

Talk to me when Willis does something against a first-team defense in a GAME (not a goal-line drill). I'm excited about McGahee too but he can't touch Travis right now. Travis is that much better.

because the statements you made to start this thread are inaccurate and exaggerated the way a child exaggerates.

Travis outperformed Willis tonight. That end run TD was not a big deal. SImonton had that. Travis had the best run of the night, and i'll take 2-27 over 11-28 any day. If you were really watching, you would have noticed that mcgahee missed a lot of opportunities. He also dropped a pass.

I'm sure if travis had dropped the same pass, you'd have brought it up. Your opinions are clouded by prejudice. You've decided that you don't like Henry, and you think he's overrated. Meanwhile, he's widely regarded as one of the most UNDERRATED backs in the league. He doesn't get nearly enough credit - he had a fumble problem 2 years ago, not last year. And people still bring it up. Well wake up - Travis was the team MVP last year. What was Willis? What is he now except a kid with potential? He has done nothing in the NFL. Nothing.

WIthout Travis, this team is in trouble. Very telling that you don't see that.

while MaGahee is scoring touchdowns.

And so it continues.

It does appear that drafting MaGahee was a good move. It was also a good move to restructure dumb old Travis after he spent all of his money on God knows what.  Thankfully, he will not take up too much cap room as he languishes on the bench while MaGahee soars as the Bills feature back.

Given the Dolphin deal, his shoulder injury, and the way he is stinking up the field, it will be hard to unload Butterfingers Henry, but at least the cap figure for this substitute will not be staggering while MaGahee dances in the end zone.

GO WILLIS!!!!!GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK Dad. I succumb to your superior football knowledge. Travis does NOT have a problem controlling the football, blocks well, is an intelligent person, and everything is just dandy. When he DOES fumble (ever so rarely), it is the fault of Drew Bledsoe.

OK now?

What did WM do against the scrubs tonite? Not much!

Did you take not of all those sacks and rushing yards for loss after DB left the game? Is TH to blame for that?

Use logic and lay blame where you should. This O-line sucked at times (except for the first series) and the D played under par, IMHO!

Bill, I consider you one of the best and brightest this board has to offer but your anti-TH posts are beginning to bug me. Thurman had the same problems throughtout his career and he did pretty well, didn't you think?

I have been told "f%$k you" many times in my life, but never have I been called an "egghead." :w00t: Thank you.

After having read your posts for many years, I view you as a great Bills fan and an asset to TBD, this despite the harsh words.

Sorry, but my views are, and always have been a tad unorthodox. In any event, I love this football team as much as you, and I think that we would enjoy a game and a tailgate together.

Let's win in 04!!!!!!!!!!!

I propose that we officially agree to disagree.

Thanks SO much for the truly undeserved kind words. I have met folks from this board at lot 1/pole 6 that liken me to a person who has never watched a football game due to their knowledge of both football and the Bills. I will not mention their names in order to not embarrass them, but one of them is a lady.

Thurman was something, imo, that rarely comes along. Imo, he was set apart from the rest by his ability to see and get through a hole. Additionally, he had hands of glue, and Marv Levy called him his best pass pass blocking running back.

Looking at the above, as well as the entire Bills RB situation, it becomes apparant that I was spoiled by his greatness.

I am hoping that the Bills can be the surprise team this season. Maybe MaGahee can be the catalyst. We need something special to get us over the top.

i know i am an extreme optimist, but travis does fumble and although he is good and adequate he is not great1he is not a back that the opposing team has to game plan for, travis has also never "taken over a game"where he just cant be stopped.granted we had killdrive calling the plays the last 2 years so i give travis the benefit of the doubt, but willis is a back that takes over games.if willis proves to be healthy i'd like to see him featured.hell mularkeys job is to put the best guys out there and make up crazy plays to catch the defense with their pants down.in the long run i see willis doing much more than travis will ever be able to.travis belongs on a team that is coached by parcells, parcells would extract all of his full talent ,untill he starts fumbling again and he will because that is what he does.last season he recovered a bunch of his fumbles so people said they dont count well they do he fumbles and it will cost us some day like a crucial series in a playoff game or god forbid a superbowl when it counts!but if he ends up being our guy then i will support him with blind faith because i love the bills!go bills in'04

Did you watch the game? Stinking up the field? I don't think you're making much sense. If 1300 yards with 3 fumbles is stinking up the field, I'm not sure you're making sense.
