stinky finger Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Here's my situation. I'm picking 10th in a 10 team league. Standard scoring. Snaking draft. (10 & 11....30, 31 and so on) I typically like to load up on RBs but knowing the big 3 plus James and Barber off the board, I'll have my choice of some pretty darn good WRs. Do I go 2 stud WR and come around with the likes of Westbrook and D. Davis in rounds 3 and 4, or do I take 2 from Jackson, Jordan, Brown, Cadillac and perhaps Ward, D. Jackson at WR in 3 and 4? thoughts?? Quote

Personally I'd jump on Stephen Jackson at #10 and expect him to be as good as Barber or James with Martz and Faulk out of the picture this year. Both of the Auburn RB's should be solid picks as well if they're still around. If they're both gone then I'd take the stud WR because I don't think Jordan will be much better than Westbrook but that's just me. Quote

Instead, decide which players you consider good enough to be your number one starter at each position, then two, three etc. So depending who's available at the bottom of the first you go from there. If there are two rb's that you feel are number one's (say S Jackson and Cadillac) then you should take them. If none or one are available, you can take the top rb and the top wr or qb if you want. This type of setup really helps in the later rounds when you are looking for those players with some potential that could have slipped down in the draft. In a 10 team league, I'd think that you'd want to get at least one rb in the 1-2 round. Quote
BILLS4LIFE Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Even if the top 3 RBs are gone, you better make sure you get at least 2 of the best RBs left, then go for the WRs. Quote
