KD in CA Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I was picturing something different. Like a TBD get together or something... 724647 I was picturing a 17 year old blonde wearing baby doll pajamas, and ....uh, hello, Kofi? is this thing on?
Phlegm Alley Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I wonder how much tickets are going to be... Definitely a great lineup.
IBTG81 Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Link 724641 I've seen the Peppers and The New Pornographers. I would love to see Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Killers, and Keane. I'll be getting tickets! Thanks Rico!
PromoTheRobot Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Same weekend as the Bills opener. Good thing Southwest flies non-stop Baltimore to Buffalo. If anyone is flying in for this, if my memory serves me correctly, you can take the Light Rail line from BWI to a stop that is about 1 mile from Pimlico. (The walk will do you good.) PTR
Rico Posted July 18, 2006 Author Posted July 18, 2006 I wonder how much tickets are going to be... Definitely a great lineup. 724731 $97.50 + TM fees.
Phlegm Alley Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Bob or Rico, are you guys going? 724817 I am definitely considering going. I missed out on Bonarroo this year and need I live outdoor music fix before the weather gets sh*tty. My g/f's brother goes to school at Johns Hopkins which would be condusive for crashing. I just might make a weekend of it
Rico Posted July 18, 2006 Author Posted July 18, 2006 Bob or Rico, are you guys going? 724817 I won't be... previously bought tickets for the Two (just last Friday! ) & RHCP in Philly, & just saw the DBT's at the 9:30 Club. Looks like a great show though, should be a big crowd.
Chef Jim Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I see there is a limit on tickets however what's the limit on the Virgins?

The fiancee and I live in Jersey, so it's like a 3 hour ride (which isn't bad). In fact, we're spedning a weekend at the Inner Harbor the first weekend of August. It's going to be a kickass show. I think The Killers are releasing a new album in the beginning of Sept., so that should add a lot.
RuntheDamnBall Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I've heard of the DBT's but never heard them. What are they like? 724847 Southern rock with a bit of a taste of the Replacements, is the best way I can describe it. They have three singers, one of whom is a little raspy, one of whom is pretty twangy, and the other is smoother (he's the best guitar player of the three, imo, though all are pretty damn good).

Grandaddy comes to mind also.

They were pretty good, they covered Moonlight Mile. They just finished opening for the Black Crowes, I didn't see that but I think that pairing would be a good fit.
