I had an Aussie ETA, but when I showed up in LA to hop on a 747 destined for Melbourne, there was no record of it. The girl at the counter was able to generate another electronic "Visa" in about 15 minutes and I hopped on the plane. I liked that. RFID in passports? Theory is cool, but I trust the governement with my ID about as much as I trust them with my money... -Jeff

Pine Barrens Mafia Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 What's truly amazing to me is that on a continent full of cameras watching everyone's moves, Europe is LIGHT-YEARS ahead of us in privacy ethics and technology.
