Crap Throwing Monkey Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 At least poker players don't dive when confronted by physicallity equivalent to a gnat bite. 719853 Italian ones do.
Ramius Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 One of these days i am going to enter the WS of Poker...just need to come across the $10 grand first Actually i'd probably be better off entering some of the lesser known tourneys as opposed to the main event. Fewer people, better odds. Either way, free alcohol and hookers is always a plus.
Alaska Darin Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 non poker tards....please go to another thread about stuff you hate and bother them... 719889 It's gonna be a good day, Tater.

I do pretty well on line for playing only small stakes, but I think I'd having a background in psychology would give me a bit more of an advantage at a live game.

And you wont finish last, that spot is reserved for puhonix.

Of course, if we did that we'd have to track down BF....I still wanna take his chips

However, that statement is just horrible, less players, better odds. The skill level at the main event is so dilluted by people who either have no clue or think they are 10x better than they are vs at the smaller events, where its mostly pros playing. Unless your a seasoned pro, your odds are better at the big event than the smaller ones.

I bet it's not all that different in real life, even with a $10k buy-in.

PromoTheRobot Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 When does the Dungeons and Dragons tournament start? That'll be even more riveting television. 719809 Right after the Paintball World Championships on ESPN 2. Don't tell me you missed it! PTR

With 10K you can have a lot of fun in Vegas. PTR
PromoTheRobot Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Would anyone like to oragnize an online poker tourney for TBD'ers? No big buck buy-ins. Just a friendly game to kill an evening. Wha'dya'say? PTR

PTR 720004 I'd love to do that, but only if there was SOME sort of buy-in.....all we'd need is like ten of us at $5-10 a pop and we could have a nice little game.
