Nope, if a person can't summorize what they have to say in a few short paragraphs (say, 10-12, non-run-on sentences max) I generally don't bother.

Not really. there are some good long posts that i will read, but most fo them are wordy and long winded and are just repeating the same thing over and over. say what you need to say in a couple of paragraphs and get on with it.

I know I am guilty of writing long posts, but I don't mind reading others as well...mine rarely get responded to, or are responded to in a way that shows the reader missed my point entirely.

 

To me, one liners, and smart ass quips are kind of fun for a little bit, but after a while, why bother to read or write them? They rarely add anything to the "discussion", but just repeat the same point that everyone else in the thread has already made...
